To New Beginnings

Confetti falls down from the sky

People all around me celebrating, but I sigh

"To new beginnings!" they cheer

But I know nothing will change, as I shed a tear

Try and try as I might

The same continues on, day and night

But I try and keep telling myself "It's fine"

What'll it even help to whine

So I wipe the tears and walk out the door

Hey, maybe life has something new in store.
